# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It captures every bit of that drive-through burger craving but keeps things low carb and surprisingly fresh.
  • Cleanup is almost nothing since everything cooks in one pan and assembles straight into bowls.
02 -
  • Drain the fat from the skillet before assembling the bowls or the lettuce will drown and the whole dish turns greasy.
  • Adding the cheese directly onto the hot beef rather than on top of cold vegetables makes it melt into the perfect gooey layer.
03 -
  • Let the beef sit undisturbed in the skillet for the first two minutes to develop a deep brown crust before you start breaking it up.
  • A light lager or cold iced tea alongside these bowls turns a simple dinner into something that feels like a proper summer cookout.
